Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) represent values that apply to everyone, without preference or disadvantage to any group. Our future success depends on bringing together people from all walks of life, including different backgrounds, cultures, perspectives, and experiences.

Our Commitment

We are committed to creating an environment that reflects the richness of our communities and a culture of fairness and belonging where all people feel respected, valued, and empowered to contribute and succeed. Building this kind of environment is a shared responsibility that begins with each of us.

MyPath blends employee-ownership with its five core Beliefs & Behaviors (Our B&B’s):

  • Passion
  • Accountability
  • Teamwork
  • Openness
  • Continuous Learning and Innovation

Our commitment to DEI is rooted in the leadership of our employee-owners and reflect Our B&B’s that guide our organization. This commitment is woven into every part of our work from policies and practices, education and events, and executive and community programs and more. At the heart of these efforts is bringing people together rather than creating divisions. We believe that by embracing our differences and focusing on our shared values, we can build a stronger, more unified community where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

Indiana EO 25-14

As part of our ongoing commitment to fostering an inclusive and respectful workplace for all, T.C. Harris remains compliant with all applicable anti-discrimination laws. This includes Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which prohibits employment discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, and national origin, as well as relevant state and local civil laws that protect additional characteristics such as sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, and age. These legal frameworks guide our organizational practices and reinforce our belief that diversity and equity are both a moral and legal imperative.

We affirm full compliance with Indiana Executive Order 25-14. In particular:

  • Our organization does not create or maintain any DEI positions, departments, activities, procedures, or programs that grant preferential treatment to any individual based on race, color, ethnicity, or national origin.
  • We do not provide, require, or endorse training, instruction, procedures, or programs that promote preferential treatment of one group over another based on race, color, ethnicity, or national origin.
  • Applicants for employment are never required to submit a diversity, equity, and inclusion statement, nor could any applicant receive preferential treatment for providing such a statement.
  • No individual is required or mandated to disclose personal pronouns.

Pathfinders

Our owner resource groups, called Pathfinders, are open to all. Supported by management and led by employee-owners, Pathfinders bring together people from every background and life experience to learn from one another, build community, and drive positive change.

Our Pathfinders create space where everyone belongs whether you identify with a particular group or simply want to listen, learn, and show support. They play a vital role in:

  • Promoting awareness and understanding.
  • Creating opportunities for allyship and connection across the organization.
  • Offering insight and perspective on emerging issues.

We are proud to support Pathfinders dedicated to Generations, Women, LGBTQ+, Race & Ethnicity, Salute to Service (Veterans), Mental Health, Abilities & Neurodiversity, and the Environment. All employee-owners are welcome to join any group, and every voice helps strengthen our culture of belonging.
